Later fair copy of Latin translations of apologetic and liturgical writings by the preeminent Maronite cleric and scholar of his time (1630-1704), who served as Patriarch from 1670 until his death. The Arabic original texts were first published in 1890 and 1902. The title work is a history of the Maronites and defense of their faith and observance against attacks by the Melkite Patriarch Eutychius and various Catholic authors, composed in 3 parts, of which the third is not included in this manuscript.
